(2) the maximum annual benefit under the Social Security Act computed
under subsection (b) (C) of this section, less any payment received as old age,
survivors, or disability benefits under the Social Security Act, the Railroad
Retirement Act, or both.
(b) (C) For purposes of subsection (a) (B)(2) of this section, the Comptroller:
(1) shall determine the maximum annual benefit under the Social
Security Act allowed for an individual who retired at age 65 for the prior calendar
year; and
(2) may allow the subtraction to the nearest $100.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000 and shall be applicable to all taxable years beginning after December 31,
1999.

(Senate Bill 411)
AN ACT concerning
Land Patents - Property Line Surveyors
FOR the purpose of expanding the definition of "surveyor" to include a property line
surveyor with respect to the application, review, and issuance of land patents;
authorizing the Commissioner of Land Patents to accept, under certain
circumstances, a survey previously performed by a qualified property line
surveyor in lieu of a survey performed under a warrant; and generally relating
to land patents and property line surveyors.
