regarding home builders and provide copies of the report to the Governor, and, subject
to § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly.
SECTION 4 6. 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2000 January 1, 2001. It shall remain effective for a period of 10
years and, at the end of September 30, 2010, with no further action required by the
General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

AN ACT concerning
Election Law - Political Action Committees - Transfers to Candidates—
Check Identification
FOR the purpose of providing that a political action committee that makes a transfer
to the treasurer or political committee of a candidate or a slate of candidates
shall display its official name, as filed with the State Board of Elections, and a
reference that the entity is a political action committee, in a prominent place on
the face of the check by which the funds are transferred; repealing modifying a
requirement that in elections for certain offices the name of a candidate be
identified by the county in which the candidate resides to only apply to elections
of certain members of the House of Delegates representing certain legislative
districts; defining a certain term; and generally relating to the identification of
a political action committee by name on the face of the check by which the
political action committee makes a transfer election law.
