31-111.1.
(A) AN EMPLOYEE OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND SHALL RECEIVE ONE-THIRD
OF THE SERVICE CREDIT FOR ELIGIBILITY SERVICE AND CREDITABLE SERVICE
PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE IN THE AMOUNT OF THE EMPLOYEE'S CREDIT, AS
CERTIFIED BY THE TOWN OF OAKLAND AS OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE.
(B) IF AN EMPLOYEE OR A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF THE TOWN OF OAKLAND
BECOMES A MEMBER OF THE EMPLOYEES' PENSION SYSTEM AT ANY TIME AFTER
THE EFFECTIVE DATE, THE EMPLOYEE MAY NOT RECEIVE SERVICE CREDIT FOR
EMPLOYMENT WITH THE TOWN OF OAKLAND BEFORE THE EFFECTIVE DATE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2000.

(House Bill 1323)
AN ACT concerning
Natural Resources - Critical Areas - Reasonable Accommodations
FOR the purpose of adding an clement to the list of elements that are included in a
local government's critical areas program; requiring the Chesapeake Bay
Critical Area Commission to approve a local government's amendment that
allows for reasonable accommodations to avoid discrimination on the basis of
physical disability; providing that a local government's critical area program
shall include provisions for reasonable accommodations in policies and
procedures when the accommodations are necessary to avoid discrimination on
the basis of physical disability, including provisions that authorize a local
jurisdiction to require removal of a certain structure at a certain time; and
generally relating to the Critical Area Protection Program.
