(3) THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF TEMPORARY LICENSES UNDER PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.

(House Bill 541)
AN ACT concerning
Vehicle Laws - Drivers' Schools and Instructors
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Motor Vehicle Administration to suspend, revoke
or refuse to grant or renew the certification of a drivers' school or drivers' school
instructor after a certain period and under certain circumstances; authorizing
the Administration to immediately suspend the certification of a drivers' school
or drivers' school instructor if it determines that there is a danger of certain
harm to the public if the certification is continued; establishing certain
procedures for an immediate suspension of a certification; and generally
relating to the regulation of drivers' schools and drivers' school instructors.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - Transportation
16-506.
(a) The Administration may suspend, revoke, or refuse to grant or renew
certification under the driver education program of any drivers' school or of any
classroom or laboratory instructor of a drivers' school, if it finds that the school or
instructor has:
(1) [failed] FAILED to comply with any of the provisions of or any rule or
regulation adopted under:
[(1)] (I) This subtitle;
[(2)] (II) Title 15, Subtitle 7 of this article, as to drivers' schools; or
