SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 380
(House Bill 453) AN ACT concerning St. Mary's County - Alcoholic Beverages - License Renewal FOR the purpose of authorizing in St. Mary's County the renewal of alcoholic
beverages licenses under certain conditions; setting a certain term and
expiration date for licenses; authorizing a holder of an expired license to apply
for a new license; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages licenses in St.
Mary's County. BY adding to Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 10-301(r)
Annotated Code of Maryland (1998 Replacement Volume and 1999 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages 10-301. (R) (1) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN ST. MARYS COUNTY. (2) UNLESS AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSE IS RENEWED FOR A
1-YEAR TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SUBSECTION, THE LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE
FIRST APRIL 30 THAT COMES AFTER ITS EFFECTIVE DATE. (3) BEFORE A LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE MAY RENEW IT FOR AN
ADDITIONAL TERM IF THE LICENSEE APPLIES FOR RENEWAL TO THE
ADMINISTRATOR OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BOARD OF ST. MARYS COUNTY
FROM FEBRUARY 1 THROUGH MARCH 3, BOTH INCLUSIVE. (4) A HOLDER OF AN EXPIRED LICENSE MAY APPLY TO THE BOARD FOR
A NEW LICENSE. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2000.
