PARRIS N. GLENDENING, Governor Ch. 294
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - Education 7-103. (c) (1) The following days are public school holidays: (i) Thanksgiving Day and the day after; (ii) Christmas Eve and from then through January 1; (iii) Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; (iv) PRESIDENTS' DAY; (V) The Friday before Easter and from then through the Monday after Easter; [(v)] (VI) Memorial Day; and [(vi)] (VII) Primary and general election days. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2000. Approved May 11, 2000. CHAPTER 294
(Senate Bill 651) AN ACT concerning Criminal Procedure - Statute of Limitations - Abuse or Neglect of Vulnerable Adult FOR the purpose of altering the statute of limitations for prosecution of certain
offenses relating to abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults; and generally relating
to the statute of limitations for prosecution of misdemeanors. BY adding to Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
