provide funds for a school readiness
program and the State or national
accreditation for these programs. Object . 12 Grants, Subsidies and

RA02.57 TRANSITIONAL EDUCATION FUNDING
To add an appropriation on page 100 of the
printed bill, (first reading file bill), to
provide funds for a one time emergency
grant for Allegany County Public Schools
to maintain services without closing
schools until the Allegany County School
Board has had an opportunity to consider
the recommendations of the performance
audit of the school system and other
factors pertaining to the allocation of
available resources.
Further provided, it is the intent of the
General Assembly that the Allegany
County Board of Education fully
cooperate with the performance audit, which is expected to be complete in August or September of
2000, and that after the audit report
is complete, adopt a redistricting plan
