$865,000 as a grant to the College of
Southern Maryland/Charles to
assist in the construction of a new
academic complex. This grant is
provided outside the community
college grant program in order to
provide State assistance at the level
currently allowed for regional
community colleges.
DE02.01 PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL APPROPRIATION
To become immediately available upon
passage of this budget to supplement the
appropriation for fiscal year 2000 to
provide funds to the Maryland
Department of Transportation for
engineering and design of waterway
improvements at the National Harbor
Project in Prince George's County.

General Fund Appropriation, provided
that the owner of the property
shall provide the Maryland
Department of Transportation
mutually agreeable acreage and a
schedule for staging for the
construction of the Woodrow
Wilson Bridge project. Any
compensation paid to the owner or
value received from the staging
area shall directly reduce the
State's cost of the waterfront
improvement as described in the
Memorandum of Understanding
between the parties.
