Also in subsection (d)(5) of this section, the former reference to "obligatory"
deductions is deleted as implied in the reference to deductions "specified in
paragraph (2) of this subsection".

In subsection (e)(1) of this section, the references to an "individual" are
substituted for the former references to a "person" or a "defendant" because
only a human being, and not the other entities included in the defined
term "person", can participate in a work program and for consistency
within this subsection. See § 1-101 of this article for the definition of
"person".

Also in subsection (e)(1) of this section, the defined term "court" is
substituted for the former reference to a "judge" for clarity and consistency
within this subtitle. See General Revisor's Note to this subtitle.

Also in subsection (e)(1) of this section, the former reference to an
individual who is "fined or assessed court costs" is deleted as implied in the
reference to "satisfy[ing] a fine or court costs".

Also in subsection (e)(1) of this section, the former reference to a work
program established under the jurisdiction of "one of the offices, of" the
Division of Parole and Probation is deleted for accuracy. Currently, no such
work program exists. If a work program is created in the future, it would
be created under the. "jurisdiction" of "the Division of Parole and
Probation".

11-705. BALTIMORE COUNTY.

(A) DEFINITIONS.

(1) IN THIS SECTION THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(2) "ADMINISTRATOR" MEANS THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE BALTIMORE
COUNTY DETENTION FACILITIES OR THE ADMINISTRATOR'S DESIGNEE.

(3) "LEAVE" MEANS AUTHORIZED TIME AWAY FROM A BALTIMORE
COUNTY DETENTION FACILITY.

(4) "PARTICIPANT" MEANS AN INMATE IN A BALTIMORE COUNTY
DETENTION FACILITY WHO PARTICIPATES IN A PROGRAM UNDER THIS SECTION.

THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IN BALTIMORE COUNTY.
