REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 27, § 726A(i).

In subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the defined term "participating
agency" is substituted for the phrase "[a]ny public or private agency that
requests the assignment of a community service worker" for consistency
with terminology used throughout this subtitle.

In subsection (c)(3) of this section, the reference to fines "and" court costs is
substituted for the former reference to fines "or" court costs for consistency
with § 8-703(1) of this subtitle.

In subsection (c) of this section, the former phrase "in a criminal case" is
deleted as surplusage in light of the reference to a "defendant".

Defined terms: "Division of Parole and Probation" § 1-101
"Participating agency" § 8-701
