Charter Amendment Resolution CA-3-98
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
CHEVERLY, MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended), to amend the Charter of the said Town, said
Charter being a part of the public local laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as amended),
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the Town of Cheverly,
Maryland, whereby the Mayor and Town Council shorten the period of time between
enactment and effective date for the budget ordinance for the upcoming fiscal year
from thirty (30) days to twenty (20) days.
[Pursuant to Section C-16 of Article IV of the Charter of the Town of Cheverly,
Prince George's County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation
of Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 1998 Supplement), repealed
and reenacted, with amendments.
