Section 15-705

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1998 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Transportation

15-705.

(a) After the Administration notifies an applicant of the approval of an
application and before the Administration issues a license, the applicant shall file
with the Administration a surety bond in the form and with the surety that the
Administration approves.

(b) The amount of the surety bond shall be [$20,000] $40,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 502.

This bill extends the time for providing matching funds and alters the purposes of the
proceeds of the bonds for the Bethesda Academy of the Performing Arts.

House Bill 266, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on April
27, 1999, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign
Senate Bill 502.
