AN ACT concerning

Dorchester County - Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of altering in Dorchester County the alcohol content of "light wine";
authorizing the Dorchester County Board of License Commissioners to issue a
1-day wine tasting alcoholic beverages (WT) license; specifying the conditions
for the issuance and the fee of a WT license; establishing a maximum limit for
the amount of wine that may be consumed under a WT license; prohibiting the
Dorchester County Board of License Commissioners from requiring the
publication of an application for a WT license before the Board grants the
license; allowing on-sale consumption of alcoholic beverages for 1 hour after
sales of alcoholic beverages must cease; requiring that tables .and. bar areas be
cleared of alcoholic beverages after a certain time; and generally relating to
alcoholic beverages in Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

4-101.

(a) In the jurisdictions listed in this section, "light wine" is a fermented
beverage that contains not in excess of 14 percent of alcohol by volume unless another
percentage is listed.
