THE DEPARTMENT EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS TO
CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE MARYLAND AFTER-SCHOOL
OPPORTUNITY ACT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Governor shall
include $10 million $10 million in the fiscal year 2001 State budget, funds for the
Maryland After School Opportunity Fund Program established under this Act equal
to the amount provided for child care and after school programs in the fiscal year
2000 budget plus $10 million budget for the Maryland After-School Opportunity Fund
established under this Act, and that such funds shall be in addition to funds provided
for child care and after-school programs in the fiscal year 2000 budget.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Executive Committee
of the Advisory Board on After-School Opportunity Programs shall develop, in
consultation with the Advisory Board, the first comprehensive plan of after-school
opportunity programs, as specified in this Act, on or before December 15, 1999.
SECTION 3. 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October July 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning
Alcoholic Beverages - Replacement of Stale Malt Products
FOR the purpose of allowing a supplier to enter into an agreement with a wholesaler
or authorized representative to replace stale or out-of-date malt beverage
products under certain circumstances; allowing a supplier to unilaterally submit
to the State Comptroller a plan for replacing products under certain
circumstances; specifying that the replacement plan may contain a certain
designation; specifying that certain provisions apply only to certain counties;
making this Act an emergency measure; and generally relating to the
replacement of stale alcoholic beverages.
