(10) URBAN RENEWAL; AND

(11) ANY OTHER COMMUNITY NEED OR PROJECT THAT THE COMMISSION
BELIEVES MAY IMPROVE:

(I) THE FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANNAPOLIS AND
ADJACENT AREAS; AND

(II) THE FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANY UNIT OF THE
STATE GOVERNMENT.

(D) (1) A STUDY OR RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMISSION IS ADVISORY
ONLY.

(2) THE COMMISSION MAY NOT REQUIRE OR COMPEL THE ADOPTION OR
IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY RECOMMENDATION.

IN ADDITION TO ANY POWERS SET FORTH ELSEWHERE, THE COMMISSION:

(1) MAY ACCEPT MONEY FROM A PRIVATE OR PUBLIC AGENCY FOR USE
IN CARRYING OUT THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMISSION; AND

(2) FOR THAT PURPOSE, MAY GIVE THE MONEY TO A PRIVATE OR PUBLIC
AGENCY OR OTHERWISE SPEND THE MONEY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

State Commission on the Capital City

FOR the purpose of establishing the State Commission on the Capital City; providing
for the membership and duties of the Commission; providing for the
appointment, tenure, and duties of members and tenure of a certain member of
the Commission; providing for the chairmanship of the Commission; providing
for the meeting times of the Commission; authorizing the Commission to accept
and give or spend certain moneys received from certain sources; and generally
relating to the State Commission on the Capital City.

Section 9-401 through 9-407, inclusive, to be under the new subtitle "Subtitle 4.
Commission on the Capital City"
