(g) (1) A solar-electric generating system used by an eligible
customer-generator shall meet all applicable safety and performance standards
established by the National Electrical Code, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers, and Underwriters Laboratories.

(2) The Commission may adopt by regulation additional control and
testing requirements for eligible customer-generators that the Commission
determines are necessary to protect public safety and system reliability.

(3) An electric company may not require an eligible customer-generator
whose solar-electric generating system meets the standards of paragraphs (1) and (2)
of this subsection to:

(i) install additional controls;

(ii) perform or pay for additional tests; or

(iii) purchase additional liability insurance.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

Permanent State and Local Aid Program for Certification of Teachers -
National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

FOR the purpose of making the pilot continuing the State and local aid program for
teachers who are selected to pursue certification by the National Board for
Professional Teaching Standards a permanent program in the State by
repealing extending the termination date for the program; altering the name of
the program; and altering the number of teachers who may participate in the
program each year.
