SUBTITLE 11. RIGHT TO FARM.

1-1101.

(A) SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, THE
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY ADOPT AN ORDINANCE OR REGULATION, OR TAKE
ANY OTHER ACTION THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONSIDER NECESSARY, TO
PROTECT A PERSON'S RIGHT TO FARM OR ENGAGE IN AGRICULTURAL OR FORESTRY
OPERATIONS.

(B) BEFORE ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE OR REGULATION, OR TAKING OTHER
ACTION UNDER SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION, THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHALL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDE REASONABLE NOTICE OF THE
HEARING.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

FOR the purpose of expanding the definition of "law enforcement officer" as it applies
to the Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights to include certain additional
police officers; and generally relating to the Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of
Rights.
