Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

9-109.1.

(a) (3) "Professional counselor" means an individual who is certified [or],
licensed, OR EXEMPTED FROM LICENSURE as a counselor under Title 17 of the Health
Occupations Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

Licensed Certified Public Accountants - Qualifications

FOR the purpose of requiring an applicant for an initial license as a licensed certified
public accountant to complete a certain work experience requirement; and
generally relating to the qualifications for licensure as a licensed certified public
accountant.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 2-302

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1995 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

2-302.

(a) To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the
requirements of this section.

(b) The applicant shall be of good character and reputation.

(c) The applicant shall be at least 18 years old.

(d) The applicant shall meet the educational requirements under § 2-303 of
this subtitle.

(e) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, the applicant shall pass an
examination given by the Board under this subtitle.
