(1) AN overall gross weight may not exceed 80,000 pounds, including any
enforcement or statutory tolerances; OR

(2) THE VEHICLE IS BEING OPERATED UNDER A VALID PERMIT FOR
GROSS WEIGHT IN EXCESS OF 80,000 POUNDS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s) 24-108(d) of

Article - Transportation of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be

Section(s) 24-108(e).

SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

Expungement of Police Records - Required Notification

FOR the purpose of expanding the definition of "police records" to include analogous
records maintained by a booking facility; requiring a law enforcement agency to
forward certain information to a booking facility under certain circumstances;
making stylistic and clarifying changes; and generally relating to the
expungement of police records.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

735.

(a) In this subtitle, the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) (1) "Court records" means all official records maintained by the clerk of a
court or other court personnel pertaining to a criminal proceeding including records of
violations of the Transportation Article for which a term of imprisonment may be
imposed.
