CHAPTER 328
(Senate Bill 216)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Barbers

FOR the purpose of continuing the State Board of Barbers in accordance with the
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (Sunset Law) by extending
to a certain date the termination provisions relating to the statutory and
regulatory authority of the Board; and generally relating to the State Board of
Barbers.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 4-702

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1995 Replacement Volume and 1998 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Occupations and Professions

4-702.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland
Program Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall
terminate and be of no effect after [July 1, 2001] JULY 1, 2011.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

(Senate Bill 223)

AN ACT concerning

Offenses Involving Destructive Devices - Penalties - Suspension of Driving
Privileges and Parental Restitution

FOR the purpose of authorizing the court to order the Motor Vehicle Administration
to suspend the driving privilege of a child convicted of a crime or found to have
committed a delinquent act involving a destructive device; specifying that a
court may order a child found to have committed a delinquent act involving a
destructive device to pay restitution to certain entities and persons; authorizing
