'Where possible, persons who potentially are more sensitive, such as pregnant
women and infants (less than two years old), should avoid any unnecessary pesticide
exposure.'"; and
(v) A brief description of potential adverse effects based upon the
material safety data sheet of the pesticides applied.
(1) Each school system shall develop appropriate means of in-school
notification before a bait station is used in [the] A school BUILDING OR ON SCHOOL
GROUNDS. The means may include a sign posted on the door of the room in which the
bait station is placed.
SECTION 2. AND IT BE FURTHER ENACTED, That the Department of
Agriculture, in consultation with the Maryland Association of Boards of Education,
shall report to the General Assembly, in accordance with § 2-1246 of the State
Government Article, by January 1, 2000 on: (a) the status of the Department's
development of uniform criteria and standards for integrated pest management
systems for school grounds; (b) the status of implementation of integrated pest
management systems for school grounds for the 2001 school year; (c) the
implementation of interior integrated pest management systems by schools; and (d) the
participation level of parents, guardians, and staff in the pesticide notification list
required under subsection (i) of § 5-208.1 of the Agriculture Article.
SECTION 5, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1999 2000.

AN ACT concerning
Chiropractors - Licensure - Educational Qualifications
FOR the purpose of altering the educational qualifications for licensure in
chiropractic to exempt from a certain requirement concerning a bachelor's
degree a license applicant who has matriculated to an approved school of
chiropractic and who has obtained a bachelor's degree before making a certain
application; repealing an exemption from a bachelor degree requirement
applicable to a person who has matriculated to an approved school of
chiropractic before a certain date; and generally relating to the qualifications for
licensure in chiropractic.
