SOUTHERLY DIRECTION 980 FEET MORE OR LESS, TO THE INTERSECTION OF COSTEN
ROAD AND PEACH ORCHARD ROAD WITHOUT PUBLIC SALE WHEN THE PROPERTY IS
NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE;

(2) ARRANGE THE TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND AMOUNT OF
CONSIDERATION, IF ANY, FOR ANY SALE MADE UNDER ITEM (1) OF THIS SECTION;
AND

(3) EXECUTE AND ACKNOWLEDGE ANY DEEDS AND INSTRUMENTS
NECESSARY TO COMPLETE ANY SALE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITEM (1) OF THIS
SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

Academic Facilities Bonding Authority

FOR the purpose of approving certain projects for the acquisition, development, and
improvement of certain academic facilities for the University System of
Maryland; and approving the issuance of bonds by the University System of
Maryland for financing the projects.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) In accordance with Title 19 of the Education Article, each of the following
projects is approved as a project for an academic facility, and the University System of
Maryland may issue, sell, and deliver bonds in the total principal amount of
$12,205,000 for the purposes of financing and refinancing the costs of these projects:

(A) University of Maryland, Baltimore (Baltimore City)

(i) Construct Addition and Alterations to Law School and Marshall

Library

(B) University System of Maryland College Park (Prince George's

County)

(i) Renovate Hornbake/McKeldin Libraries

(ii) Renovate Taliaferro/Key Hall
