SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

Chapter 98 of the Acts of 1989, as amended by Chapter 421 of the Acts of 1990
and Chapter 131 of the Acts of 1995

Section 1(3)(A)(1)

(d) Provide a portion of the funds to acquire property and design
the [Potee Street] SOUTH BALTIMORE District Court. This
authorization shall not terminate before June 1, [1997] 1999

Chapter 258 of the Acts of 1990, as amended by Chapter 244 of the Acts of

1993

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur
indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland through a State loan to be known as
the Avalon Theatre Loan of 1990 in the total principal amount of [$85,000.] $25,000.
This loan shall be evidenced by the issuance, sale, and delivery of State general
obligation bonds authorized by a resolution of the Board of Public Works and issued,
sold, and delivered in accordance with Sections 8-117 through 8-124 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article and Article 31, Section 22 of the Code.

Chapter 102 of the Acts of 1991, as amended by Chapter 115 of the Acts of

1994

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur indebtedness on
behalf of the State of Maryland through a State loan to be known as the Baltimore
County and Allegany County Detention Centers Loan of 1991 in the total principal
amount of [$5,000,000] $4,000,000, This loan shall be evidenced by the issuance,
sale, and delivery of State general obligation bonds authorized by a resolution of the
Board of Public Works and issued, sold, and delivered in accordance with §§ 8-117
through 8-124 of the State Finance and Procurement Article and Article 31, § 22 of
the Code.

(3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer
and first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and
delivering the bonds, unless funds for this purpose are otherwise provided, and then
shall be credited on the books of the Comptroller and expended, on approval by the
Board of Public Works, for the following public purposes, including any applicable
architects' and engineers' fees: provide a grant of $3,321,000 to the County Executive
and County Council of Baltimore County for the construction and equipping of an
expansion of the Baltimore County Detention Center and for the renovation and
equipping of the existing detention facility; and provide a grant of [$1,679,000]
