(6) No more than one area in a county designated by the county as a
priority funding area under § 5-7B-03(c) of the State Finance and Procurement
Article; AND
(7) THAT PORTION OF THE PORT LAND USE DEVELOPMENT ZONE, AS
DEFINED IN § 6-501(E) OF THE TRANSPORTATION ARTICLE, THAT HAS BEEN
DESIGNATED AS AN AREA APPROPRIATE FOR GROWTH IN THE COUNTY
COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN.

(e) "Zone" means the Port Land Use Development Zone which consists of
residentially, commercially, or industrially zoned property within the immediate
influence of Port activity. This includes land directly on the Baltimore Harbor or
serving the Port of Baltimore, and all public and private properties within 3,000 feet
surrounding the Port's waterfront, and extends from Brandon Shores in Anne
Arundel County around the waterfront to Middle River in Baltimore County.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1,1999, and shall be applicable to all taxable years beginning after December 31,
1998.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland Vehicle Law - Definition of Highway— Calvert County -
Enforcement on Private Roadways
FOR the purpose of modifying the definition of "highway" for purposes of the
Maryland Vehicle Law to include in Calvert County certain private roadways
within residential subdivisions or communities, regardless of whether the
roadway is available for use by the public authorizing certain police officers to
enforce the provisions of the Maryland Vehicle Law on private roadways in
Calvert County that are located within a residential subdivision or community
and used for vehicular travel by residents of the subdivision or community; and
generally relating to enforcement of the Maryland Vehicle Law in Calvert County.
