MK02.02 Addictions Treatment Services

In addition to the appropriation shown on
page 59 of the printed bill (first reading
file bill), to provide funds for drug
treatment programs, both residential and
nonresidential, for regions of the State
with the highest incidences of drug
addictions and highest demand for
treatment services.

Object .08 Contractual Services 3,000,000

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$3,000,000 of this appropriation may
not be expended until a report on the
use of these funds to expand residential
and nonresidential treatment services
in areas with the greatest need is
submitted to the budget committees for
review and comment or 45 days have
elapsed from its receipt. This report
shall provide information on the
distribution of funds, program goals
and performance targets, the
coordination with existing programs.
