DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT

It is the intent of the General Assembly that,
contingent on enactment of SB 509 or HB
590, the Maryland Department of the
Environment in conjunction with the
Department of State Police and the
Maryland Department of Transportation
will provide a report to the General
Assembly detailing the implementation of
the Diesel Vehicle Emissions Control
Program. The report shall include
information on a funding plan for the
program as well as information on the
cooperation of the agencies in
implementing the program. The report
shall also include information on the
expenditures and revenues associated with
the program. The report shall be
submitted to the budget committees by
June 1, 2000 for review and comment.
