Funds are appropriated in the Maryland

Insurance Administration budget to pay

for services provided by this program.

Authorization is hereby granted to use

these receipts as special funds for

operating expenses in this program.

Further provided that funds from the

Maryland Insurance Administration may

not exceed $456,421 unless:

(1) the Office of the Attorney General

submits a request to the budget

committees identifying the specific

amount of the proposed increase in

funds and the justification for the

proposed increase; and

(2) the budget committees review and

comment on the proposed increase, or

45 days elapse from the date of the

receipt of the request.
