AN ACT concerning

State Tobacco Authority - Regulatory, Powers

FOR the purpose of requiring certain persons selling leaf tobacco to keep certain
records; authorizing the inspection of certain records by the State Tobacco
Authority; authorizing the Authority to order certain tobacco off-sale, to impose
a civil penalty, and to seek injunctive relief against a certain person who violates
the Authority's regulatory requirements; expanding the circumstances under
which the Authority may revoke or suspend certain licenses; and generally
relating to the regulatory powers of the State Tobacco Authority.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

7-209.

(a) Except as provided in subsection (c), a person may not engage in any of the
following businesses without first obtaining an annual license upon payment of the
prescribed fee:
