(b) (1) This subsection applies only in Allegany County.

(2) The Director of Finance is the local collecting agent. The Director of
Finance shall [remit and pay]:

(I) CREDIT 5 PERCENT OF THE LICENSE FEES RECEIVED FOR
LICENSES THAT ARE ISSUED TO A PLACE OF BUSINESS LOCATED IN A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION TO THE GENERAL FUND OF THE COUNTY TO COVER ADMINISTRATIVE

COSTS; AND

(II) PAY 50 PERCENT OF THE REMAINING LICENSE FEES RECEIVED
FOR LICENSES THAT ARE ISSUED TO A PLACE OF BUSINESS LOCATED IN A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION [to each incorporated town or city] in the County [50
percent of the license fees received for the licenses that are issued for the places of
business located within the corporate limits of the respective town or city] TO THE
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

United States - Jurisdiction - Exclusive Jurisdiction

FOR the purpose of granting the United States exclusive jurisdiction over certain
property owned by the United States within the Fort George G. Meade Military
Reservation and located in Anne Arundel County; providing a description of the
property; providing that the State retains the right to serve all civil and criminal
process of the courts of this State; providing for enforcement of certain
environmental laws State laws and regulations; providing for the effective date
of this Act; and generally relating to a grant of exclusive jurisdiction to the
United States.
