15-228. LOSS DUE TO INTOXICATION OR INFLUENCE OF NARCOTIC.

A POLICY OF HEALTH INSURANCE MAY CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING PROVISION:

"INTOXICANTS AND NARCOTICS. THE INSURER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY
LOSS SUSTAINED OR CONTRACTED IN CONSEQUENCE OF THE INSURED'S BEING
INTOXICATED OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY NARCOTIC UNLESS
ADMINISTERED ON THE ADVICE OF A PHYSICIAN."

The quoted language of this section is the same as the quoted language of
former Art. 48A, § 462.

15-301. DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B) BLANKET HEALTH INSURANCE.

"BLANKET HEALTH INSURANCE" MEANS THE FORM OF HEALTH INSURANCE
DESCRIBED IN, § 15-305 OF THIS SUBTITLE.

shorthand cross-reference to the substantive provision that describes blanket
health insurance.
