agency budgets to pay for services provided
by this program. Authorization is hereby
granted to use these receipts as special
funds for operating expenses in this
program.

HG01.01 Facilities Planning, Engineering and

Construction

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
the amount appropriated herein for
Maryland Environmental Service critical
maintenance projects shall be transferred to
the appropriate State facility effective July
1, 1997............................................................

Funds are appropriated in various State
agency budgets and authorizations for
capital projects to pay for services provided
by this program. Authorization is hereby
granted to use an amount not to exceed
$2,000,000 of these receipts as special funds
for operating expenses in this program
provided, however, that authorizations for
capital projects may not provide more than
$1,500,000 for this purpose.

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The Maryland Department of Transportation
shall not expend funds on any job or
position of employment approved in this
budget in excess of 8.992.5 positions and
326.52 contractual full-time equivalents
paid through special payments payroll
(defined as the quotient of the sum of the
hours worked by all such employees in the
fiscal year divided by 2,080 hours) of the
