14-401. DEFINITIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED.

(B) DENTAL PLAN.

"DENTAL PLAN" MEANS A CONTRACTUAL ARRANGEMENT FOR DENTAL
SERVICES.

581(b).

Defined term: "Dental service" § 14-401

(C) DENTAL PLAN ORGANIZATION.

"DENTAL PLAN ORGANIZATION" MEANS A PERSON THAT PROVIDES DIRECTLY,
ARRANGES FOR, OR ADMINISTERS A DENTAL PLAN ON A PREPAID OR POSTPAID
INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP CAPITATION BASIS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 581(c) and the second clause of (b).

The former reference to a dental plan "that provides dental services" is
deleted as surplusage in light of the definition of "dental plan".
