Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article IT, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 1048.

This bill increases the fee for a special Maryland Wine Festival license in Carroll County
from $10 to $50.

Senate Bill 551, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on this
date, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 1048.

Sincerely,

Parris N. Glendening

Governor

House Bill No. 1048
