Senate Bill No. 540

AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Alcoholic Beverages
(License Renewal Late Fees)

FOR the purpose of providing that in Carroll County any alcoholic beverages licensee
who fails to renew the license may be charged a late fee by the Board of License
Commissioners; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages in Carroll County.

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 10-301(q)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1996 Replacement Volume)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

10-301.

(Q) IN CARROLL COUNTY THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS MAY
IMPOSE A LATE FEE OF $50 PER DAY FOR EACH DAY A LICENSEE FAILS TO RENEW
THE LICENSE AFTER THE APPLICATION IS DUE. THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE FEES
MAY NOT EXCEED $500.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.
