whatever land shall be imposed by the Commissioner upon the insurers, or upon the
agents or representatives of such insurers, of such other state or country doing business or
seeking to do business in Maryland.

(b) (1) In addition to the provisions of this subtitle, the following provisions of
this article apply to societies to the extent not in conflict with the express provisions and
reasonable implications of this subtitle:
