SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 5-206(f) of Article - Natural Resources of the Annotated
Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 5-206(g).
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:
Article - Natural Resources
5-206.
(F) (1) WHENEVER NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICERS RECEIVE A
SALARY INCREASE, FOREST AND PARK RANGERS IN THE STATE FOREST AND PARK
SERVICE SHALL RECEIVE A SALARY INCREASE IN THE SAME PERCENTAGE AS THE
SALARY INCREASE RECEIVED BY NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICERS.
(2) WHENEVER NATURAL RESOURCES POLICE OFFICERS RECEIVE A
GRADE OR STEP INCREASE, FOREST AND PARK RANGERS IN THE STATE FOREST
AND PARK SERVICE SHALL RECEIVE AN EQUAL GRADE OR STEP INCREASE.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Right to Farm Law
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of Dorchester County to
adopt an ordinance to protect the right to farm and to engage in agricultural or
forestry operations; authorizing the County Commissioners to provide for persons
who engage in agricultural or forestry operations to be immune from private
nuisance actions involving agricultural or forestry operations in certain
circumstances; authorizing the County Commissioners to establish a grievance
committee to arbitrate disputes involving agricultural or forestry operations;
authorizing the County Commissioners to require a person claiming a nuisance
involving agricultural or forestry operations to seek and obtain relief from the
grievance committee; authorizing the County Commissioners to require a person
claiming a nuisance to pay reasonable expenses, including attorney fees, in certain
circumstances; authorizing the County Commissioners to require a transferor of real
property to provide certain information to the transferee in certain circumstances;
modifying a certain provision in the Real Property Article concerning contracts for
sale of real property; and generally relating to the authority of the County
Commissioners to protect agricultural or forestry operations in Dorchester County.
