(8) A person, agency, or corporation nominated by a person caring for the
disabled person;

(9) Any other person, agency, or corporation considered appropriate by the

court;

(10) For adults less than 65 years old, the director of the local department of
social services or, for adults 65 years old or older, the director of the State Office on
Aging or area agency on aging, except in those cases where the department of social
services has been appointed guardian of the person prior to age 65. Directors of LOCAL
DEPARTMENTS OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND area agencies on aging, upon appointment as
guardian, may delegate responsibilities of guardianship to staff persons whose names and
positions have been registered with the court.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.

(Senate Bill 105)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Master Electricians - Reinstatement Fees

FOR the purpose of reducing certain fees imposed by the State Board of Master
Electricians; clarifying that certain persons who are reinstating an expired license
under certain circumstances are required to pay a reinstatement fee; providing for
the effective date of this Act; and generally relating to fees imposed by the State
Board of Master Electricians.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

6-312.

(a) The State Board shall reinstate the State license of a master electrician who is
not on inactive status and who has failed to renew the State license for any reason, if the
master electrician:
