Ch. 5 1997 LAWS OF MARYLAND [8-304. (a) The State Advisory Council shall establish committees on: (1) Alcohol abuse; and (2) Drug abuse. (b) Membership of each committee shall reflect equal representation of both [8-305. (a) The State Advisory Council shall meet: (1) At least every third month, at the times and places that it determines; and (2) At the call of its chairman. (b) A member of the State Advisory Council: (1) May not receive compensation; but (2) Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State (c) The Department shall provide secretarial and other staff services to the State [8-306. (a) The State Advisory Council does not have any executive or appointive duties. (b) The State Advisory Council shall: (1) Be a strong advocate of a comprehensive, broad-based approach to the (2) Advise the Governor, the Secretary, and the Administration on: (i) Short and long term needs for services which the State Advisory (ii) Promoting and coordinating, in cooperation with other federal, (iii) Reviewing existing programs and facilities of the Administration 13-408.
