(ii) provides for individual death benefits not exceeding $400 per year
or disability benefits not exceeding $350 per year or both;

(iii) does not issue benefit certificates; and

(iv) has a membership of not more than 1,000 individuals.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning

Incinerators - Special Medical Waste - Inspection

FOR the purpose of requiring the Department of the Environment to conduct certain
inspections of certain medical waste incinerators for certain purposes; authorizing
the Department to undertake certain activities for certain purposes; requiring
certain permit holders to pay certain costs of inspection; defining a certain term;
requiring certain permit holders to conduct and report on certain sampling of emissions;
prohibiting certain incinerator owners and operators from accepting more than a certain
amount of certain waste; and generally relating to the inspection of special medical
waste incinerators.
