AID TO EDUCATION

RA02.01 State Share of Basic Current Expenses
To become available immediately upon
passage of this budget to supplement the
appropriation for fiscal year 1997 to provide
funds for the increase in costs and number
of students eligible to participate in the
"child in an out-of-county living
arrangement" program (Section 4-122 of
the Education Article). Beginning this year,
the reporting date was changed from
September 30 to December 31. This
additional request is based on reported
students from the local jurisdictions that
were previously not available.
