discard any official stationery or other publications that do not comply with the
requirements of this Act on the effective date of this Act. The unit may continue to utilize
any stationery or other official publications in its possession on the effective date of this
Act that do not comply with the requirements of this Act until its supply of such
stationery and publications is exhausted.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning
Charles County - County Commissioners - Authority to Construct, Extend, and Acquire
Water or Sewer Systems or Stormwater Management Areas
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Charles County Commissioners to acquire and
improve private sewer systems and stormwater management areas under certain
circumstances; authorizing the Commissioners to construct new or extend existing
water or sewer systems or stormwater management areas under certain
circumstances; authorizing the Commissioners to levy an annual benefit assessment
under certain circumstances; providing that certain water or sewer systems or
certain stormwater management areas are operated and maintained by a certain
department; authorizing the Commissioners to adopt certain regulations;
authorizing the Commissioners to charge interest on certain payments; requiring
that a certain petition be filed by certain property owners before the Commissioners
may exercise certain powers; requiring the passage of a certain ordinance under
certain circumstances; and generally relating to the authority of the Charles County
Commissioners to acquire, improve, construct, and extend water and sewer systems
and stormwater management areas.

Extension, and Acquisition of Water or Sewer Systems or Stormwater
Management Areas"
