(House Bill 349)

AN ACT concerning

Kent County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Expungement)

FOR the purpose of allowing requiring the Kent County Board of License Commissioners
to expunge past violations of alcoholic beverages laws and regulations after a certain
period of time has elapsed; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages in Kent
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

16-508.

(A) THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IN KENT COUNTY.

(B) A VIOLATION OF THIS ARTICLE OR OF ANY REGULATIONS
PROMULGATED UNDER IT MAY BE EXPUNGED FROM THE LICENSEE'S RECORD
WITH REGARD TO THE CONSIDERATION AND IMPOSITION OF PENALTIES FOR
PRESENT VIOLATIONS.

(C) THE PAST VIOLATION MAY OF THIS ARTICLE OR OF ANY REGULATIONS
ADOPTED UNDER IT SHALL BE EXPUNGED BY THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS AFTER 7 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS OPERATION BY A LICENSEE FROM
THE DATE THE VIOLATION OCCURRED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.
