AN ACT concerning
State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and
Speech-Language Pathologists - Appointment of Audiologist Members
FOR the purpose of requiring the Governor to appoint the audiologist members of the
State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and
Speech-Language Pathologists from a certain list submitted to the Governor and
the Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene by the Maryland
Academy of Audiology and the Maryland Speech-Language and Hearing
Association; requiring that the list contain a certain minimum number of people;
requiring the Maryland Academy of Audiology and the Maryland Speech-Language
and Hearing Association to notify by mail all licensed audiologists of the vacancy on
the Board; requiring the Maryland Academy of Audiology and the Maryland
Speech-Language and Hearing Association to conduct a ballot of all licensed
audiologists to select the names that will be submitted to the Secretary and the
Governor; making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the appointment of
audiologist members of the State Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid
Dispensers, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
