(2) AN INSURER IS NOT REQUIRED UNDER PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS
SUBSECTION TO SEND ANY NOTICE TO THE INSURED AS TO ANY FIRST PARTY CLAIM
FOR BENEFITS OTHER THAN THE BENEFITS UNDER § 19-505 OF THIS SUBTITLE.
(c) Payments of benefits that are not made in accordance with this section and
that are overdue shall bear simple interest at the rate of 1.5% per month.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 1 of this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1997.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act
shall take effect October 1, 1997.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the clarifications made to the
notification requirement from the insurer to the insured under § 19-508(b) of this Act shall be
construed retroactively and shall be interpreted to apply as of July 1, 1990.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 1998 October 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission - Statutory Structure
Organization and Services in Prince George's County
MC/PG 31-97
FOR the purpose of repealing and reenacting, without amendments, Article 28—
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC) of the
Annotated Code of Maryland; and generally relating to the MNCPPC. altering
various provisions of law relating to the Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission and Prince George's County; requiring a certain majority of
the Prince George's County Council to restore certain budget items: authorizing the
Commission to receive and expend certain contributions for financing land
acquisition, development, or redevelopment under certain circumstances;
authorizing the County to transfer certain title, control, maintenance, or operation
of certain land to the Redevelopment Authority of the County, the Revenue
Authority of the County, or other governmental entity in the County under certain
circumstances; authorizing the County, by ordinance, to provide certain historic
preservation, outreach and marketing, and maintenance of historic properties
activities of the Commission under certain circumstances; authorizing the County,
by ordinance, to provide certain revitalization and redevelopment activities of the
Commission in the County and the management and marketing of certain enterprise
operations; authorizing the Commission to include certain libraries, recreation
