NG00.08 Assistance Payments

General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$9,700,000 of this appropriation may only be
used to provide grant increases to Temporary
Cash Assistance recipients in order to raise the
combined value of food stamp and Temporary
Cash Assistance benefits to 61 percent of the
State's minimum living level. Funds not
expended to increase the grant level may not be
used for any other program or purpose except
as authorized in this provision. Excess funds
may be transferred to the Dedicated Purpose
Account for the purpose of meeting future
Family Investment Program expenses.
Authorization is also granted to transfer
any excess Fiscal Year 1997 Temporary
Cash Assistance funds to the Dedicated
Purpose Account.

Further provided that contingent upon
enactment of Senate Bill 512, $1,700,000 of
this appropriation may only be expended to
provide substance abuse treatment to the
mothers of children born drug addicted.........

NG00.09 Purchase of Child Care

All appropriations provided for this program -
NG00.09 are to be used only for the
purposes herein appropriated, and there
shall be no budgetary transfer to any other
program or purpose, except that funds may
be transferred to the Dedicated Purpose
Account for the purpose of meeting future
Purchase of Child Care expenses.
