GLENDENING, Governor Ch. 105 (II) ASSESSMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE ACADEMIC SYSTEM; (III) PROVISION OF SERVICES TO STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES IN (IV) DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF INITIATIVES FOR (V) PROFESSIONAL HIRING AND DEVELOPMENT. (C) NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SUBSECTION (B)(4) OF THIS (D) THE BOARD SHALL EMPLOY THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND (E) THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SHALL (F) THE INITIAL CONTRACT AND ANY RENEWAL MAY NOT EXCEED 4 YEARS. (A) THERE IS A CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER IN THE BALTIMORE CITY PUBLIC (1) BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION (2) REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. (B) THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER SHALL, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF (1) SELECT THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER; AND (2) ESTABLISH THE SALARY OF THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER. (C) THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER SHALL (D) THE CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER IS NOT A PUBLIC OFFICER UNDER THE - 1545 -
