It is the intent of the General Assembly that if the
department fails to pay undisputed Medical

Assistance claims within 39 45 days of receipt,
the State shall pay the provider a reasonable
rate of interest on the claims outstanding.

MM01.01 Program Direction

Disabilities Administration, in collaboration
with community providers, develops a plan
that addresses the anticipated demands for
emergency placements for Fiscal Year 1998

MM01.02 Community Services

It is the intent of the General Assembly that
no revisions to the rate structure of the
Prospective Payments System (PPS)
employed to reimburse community
providers of services to the developmental
disabled be instituted until such time as the
legislature has had the opportunity to
review these rate structures. Further, any
revisions should be phased in over an
appropriate period of time.

The Developmental Disabilities Administration,
