The Governor shall include in the budget for 1968 the sum of ten thousand dollars
($10,000) for the use of the Authority. The money so appropriated shall be used by the
Authority for the purpose of organizing the Authority and paying any and all costs and
expenses incurred by the Authority in carrying out its corporate purposes, prior to the
sale of the first issue of bonds authorized by this subtitle; this sum of money hereby
advanced shall be repaid to the State of Maryland from funds obtained from the sale of
the first issue of bonds prior to any other payments from said funds.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect

October 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Special Taxing Districts - Developing and Financing Infrastructure

Improvements

FOR the purpose of authorizing Charles County to exercise certain powers concerning
the creation of special taxing districts, the levying of certain taxes, and the issuing of
certain bonds for developing and financing infrastructure improvements under
certain circumstances; providing that Charles County may exercise certain powers
concerning the developing and financing of infrastructure improvements only in
certain zones; and, generally relating to the authority of Charles County to create
special taxing districts for developing and financing infrastructure improvements.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(b) This section applies only to Anne Arundel County, CHARLES COUNTY,
Garrett County, Howard County, Prince George's County, Washington County, and
Wicomico County.
