1, Reimbursements under the Standard State Travel

Regulations; and

2. Participation in the health care plan that is negotiated for

county employees.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of the Sheriff of Cecil County in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary or
compensation of the Sheriff of Cecil County shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect

October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

Property Tax Appeals - Appeals to Maryland Tax Court

FOR the purpose of providing that certain appeals to the Maryland Tax Court shall be
deemed to be filed on time if they are submitted by mail to the court with a
postmark date within the time allowed for appeal.
