SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(f) (2) As directed by the Commissioner, the investigators shall investigate, in
the State, violations or alleged violations of this article, including [§ X-XXX]
INSURANCE FRAUD AS DEFINED IN § 27-801 of this article.

2-112.

(a) Fees for the following certificates, licenses, and services shall be collected in
advance by the Commissioner, and shall be paid by the appropriate persons to the
Commissioner:

(15) fees for form and rate filings under [§§ XX-XXX, XX-XXX,
XX-XXX, XX-XXX, XX-XXX, and XX-XXX of this article [48A §§ 242, 242A, 334,
356, 375, and 436H]] TITLE 11, SUBTITLES 2 AND 4 AND §§ 8-434, 12-203, 13-110, AND
14-126 OF THIS ARTICLE..............................................................................................$100

(c) The following moneys may not be considered general funds of the State and
shall be deposited in the Insurance Fraud Division Fund:

(1) revenue derived from the annual fraud prevention fee under [§ X-XXX
[48A § 640B]] § 6-202 of this article; and
